History
The wicket soil clay has been sourced over many decades along the Harvey River in the Waroona area of Western Australia.
Roy Abbott the highly esteemed WACA Curator used the clay for his internationally renowned wickets as far back as the 1960s.
Subsequent WACA curators Richard Winter, Cam Sutherland and Matthew Page have made site visits to the Culburra Downs Farm taking samples and evaluating the revered soil.
This clay is named CULBURRA CLAY and is used at the WACA and Perth Stadium and distributed throughout the Western Australia to make great wicket pitches for clubs and schools.
